📖 How to Measure Correctly
Waist Circumference
Measure at the narrowest point of your torso, typically just above the belly button. Stand upright, breathe out normally, and wrap the tape snugly without compressing the skin.
Hip Circumference
Measure at the widest point of your hips/buttocks. Stand with feet together and wrap the tape around the fullest part.
Why WHR Matters
Waist-to-hip ratio is a better predictor of cardiovascular disease risk than BMI alone. Higher WHR indicates more visceral (abdominal) fat, which is linked to increased risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome.
